A/Prof Robert MacGinley

A/Prof Robert MacGinley is a Staff Nephrologist and General Physician at Eastern Health Clinical School, Monash University, Melbourne.

He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University, and a Conjoint Associate Professor at Deakin University, Melbourne.

His clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, dialysis and hypertension.

His teaching expertise includes multiple undergraduate courses (currently the director of medical student programs  for Monash as well as convener of medicine  for Deakin) and post graduate courses in both basic physician training and advanced training in Nephrology as well as being the Director of the Acute Care and Advanced Life Support Course and the GP refresher update course at Eastern Health Clinical School.

His research interests include the influence of diet and novel medications on diabetic nephropathy, anaemia of chronic kidney disease and hypertension across a range of different populations.

He is an active member of the Australian Clinical Trials Network, a CARI guideline writer and a member of SPEC for the ANZSN.
