Consultant Nephrologist & Obstetric Physician, South West Sydney based at Liverpool Hospital
Professor Angela Makris is a clinician researcher. She is a consultant Nephrologist and Obstetric Physician at South west Sydney based at Liverpool Hospital and undertakes research at the Heart Research Institute and University of Western Sydney. She is the immediate-past president of the Society of Obstetric Medicine Australia and New Zealand (SOMANZ) and the executive of the Women’s Health Initiative Translational Unit (WHITU). Her research interests include therapies for the treatment and prevention of preeclampsia as well as post-partum management and assessment. Angela has ongoing roles in national and international guidelines in hypertension and renal replacement therapy in pregnancy.
