Fiona Chow is a consultant nephrologist and general physician at Epworth Hospital, Richmond, Victoria, Australia. After finishing clinical training in nephrology, she completed a PhD in Medicine (2005) examining the role of macrophages in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy. She now works full-time as a clinician, and continues to maintain an interest in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease. A significant part of her current role is the care of perioperative patients at Epworth Hospital, Victoria’s largest not-for-profit private hospital group.
