Karen Keung

Staff specialist, General Nephrology and Transplant, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney

Karen is a staff specialist in general nephrology and transplant at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, and is an associate editor for the journal Transplantation. She completed her PhD, The Application of Transcriptomics in Kidney Transplant Injury, with the Westmead Institute of Medical Research, The University of Sydney, supported by the RACP Jacquot Research Entry Scholarship. She received the TSANZ President’s Prize in 2017. Karen was a research scholar under the late Professor Barbara Murphy at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York, and has continued collaborating with her research group. Her research interest is in molecular profiling using large scale gene expression datasets across injury phenotypes in renal transplantation.
