Getting to and around Adelaide

Flying to Adelaide

Adelaide Airport is an approximate 15-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD. Direct flights are offered to and from Australian domestic destinations including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Perth, and Canberra. Major international carriers flying directly into Adelaide include Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airlines and Air New Zealand.

Airport Transfers

Adelaide Metro offers an airport bus service. To find out more visit the Adelaide Metro website.

The Taxi drop-off for Adelaide Airport is located on Atura Circuit, between the terminal and the Atura Hotel. When departing from the airport, there is a designated taxi rank located to the left (western side) of the pedestrian plaza as you walk out of the terminal.

Ride-sharing services such as Uber, Ola, and Didi have designated pick-up facilities at Adelaide Airport. The pick-up area is just to the left of the Terminal Car Park as you leave the terminal.

Getting around Adelaide

Adelaide’s public transport system is run by Adelaide Metro, providing travel options throughout the city and the greater metropolitan area. Adelaide Metro offers free public transport options in the city and North Adelaide.

“Adelaide Central Market”  When Adelaide does something well, you won’t find a better comparison. Our markets are a perfect example. The Adelaide Central Market is our most visited tourist attraction. It has more than 80 stalls, cafés and restaurants and is unchallenged as Australia’s best market. You won’t find this variety of food under one roof anywhere else. Many market businesses are family owned. Forget breakfast and feast on free samples as you browse for a bargain.
