Dr Matthew Snelson is an advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and Research Fellow in the Department of Diabetes, Monash University. He investigates the role of diet in altering disease states via modulation of the gut microbiota and his current research focuses on the role of dietary resistant starch in the progression of diabetic nephropathy. He is the current chair of the Australasian Human Microbiome Research Network.
